Imam Anwar Hussain
Imam Anwar Hussain began his Islamic education in 1999 at Madinatul Uloom, Kidderminster, embarking on an extensive programme of traditional and academic Islamic studies.
He undertook Hifz-ul-Qur’an and successfully completed the memorisation of the Holy Qur’an. He also completed A-Level Urdu and A-Level Religious Studies.
He successfully completed the comprehensive six-year Alimiyah programme, equivalent to a BA (Hons) in Islamic Theology. He then completed advanced studies in Qira’at, developing proficiency in Qur’anic recitation and its various modes.

Under qualified scholars, Imam Anwar studied the six major canonical collections of Hadith, known as the Sihah Sittah: Sahih al-Bukhari, Sahih Muslim, Sunan Ibn Majah, Sunan an-Nasa’i, Sunan Abi Dawud and Jami’ at-Tirmidhi.
He undertook further studies in classical Fiqh, Islamic jurisprudence and other traditional Islamic texts. He also studied Tafsir of the Holy Qur’an, gaining a deeper understanding of Qur’anic interpretation and its application.
With a foundation rooted in Qur’anic memorisation, Hadith, Fiqh, Tafsir, Qira’at and traditional Islamic scholarship, Imam Anwar Hussain has dedicated his journey to acquiring, preserving and sharing Islamic knowledge with the wider community.
