Burial Sites and Undertaker information
Alhamdulillah, we have a burial site here in Letchworth that has Muslim allocated space. They are located in:
Wilbury Hills Cemetery, Stotfold Road, Letchworth Garden City
SG6 4JS, United Kingdom
The Burial preparations
Local Funeral Director services are available through Bury Park Masjid, Luton. Their service provides a shroud, washing of the body and then the undertaker will bring the body to the masjid for janaza salah. There is a charge for this service. However, if you cannot afford the cost they can make arrangements with you to organise this as ‘fee sabilillah’ (for the sake of allah).
The final cost is for the burial plot (land from the council) plus the undertaker cost which is approximately £2500.
